INSPECTION & CONSULTANCY SERVICES

COATING CONDITION ASSESSMENT

Assessment of existing coatings on structures or assets to determine current condition, remaining service life, and remediation requirements. Provides asset owners with objective information for maintenance planning.

SPECIFICATION REVIEW

eview of proposed coating specifications to assess appropriateness for the exposure environment, substrate, and required service life. Identifies specification gaps before application begins.

Inspection of surface preparation prior to coating to confirm the substrate meets the required standard. Identifies defects before coating is applied, preventing costly remediation.

THE COST OF GETTING IT WRONG

Coating failures are expensive. Remediation of failed coatings on a structural steel frame can cost multiples of the original application. Inadequate intumescent DFT may require complete re-application before a building consent can be issued.

Independent inspection at key stages — surface prep, in-process, and post-application — provides objective evidence that the coating has been applied correctly, protecting both the asset owner and the principal contractor.
