Protech Coatings NZ is a New Zealand-owned industrial coatings company based in Auckland, led by Gavin. We specialise in intumescent fire protection coatings, industrial protective coatings, and coating inspection and consultancy — working with project managers, engineers, and architects across New Zealand.
We're not a large corporation. We're a focused, experienced team that takes on the right projects and does them properly — from the surface preparation through to the inspection report and building consent sign-off.

QUALIFIED WHERE IT COUNTS
On-site credibility matters. Every Protech applicator holds the certifications required on commercial and industrial construction sites in New Zealand.
Site Safe passport certification — all applicators hold current Site Safe passports, required on most commercial construction sites in NZ.
EWP (Elevated Work Platform) — certified operators for scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other elevated access equipment.
Confined space certification — entry and monitoring certification for coating work inside tanks, pipes, and other restricted structures.
Health & safety systems — site-specific safety plans, MSDS management, and rigid H&S monitoring on every project.

We review specifications before quoting, ask the right questions, and make sure we understand what's required. If something in a specification doesn't look right, we'll say so before work starts.
DOCUMENTATION YOU CAN RELY ON
Every project includes clear documentation — DFT records, product batch numbers, inspection reports. For intumescent projects, this documentation supports building consent sign-off.
